MFA Graduating Project:Public Engagement
ABOUT THE PRODUCTION
As part of the creation process for Klasika we gathered for outdoor recreation, hosted events and created artwork inspired by Czech tramping and other project themes. Documentation of this work was published in an ongoing series by VANDOCUMENT, and includes photography, soundscape, musical essay and written documentation.
Klasika represented a massive collaborative effort between Ten Thousand Wolves, Kyla Gardiner, Simon Fraser University’s SCA staff and faculty, and many others. It marked over two years of labour and love in the Masters of Fine Arts program at SFU, and was presented in partial fulfillment of the graduate degree requirements.
