Field Camp in Pandora Park

An imagined wilderness...

Dear Neighbours, Friends and Inter-net Fans of Pandora Park,

     Ahoj!

We invite you to a collaboration between, Klasika, Dance Troupe Practice and the Park Board Field House Residency Program.

Field Camp is a neighbourhoood celebration inspired by a Czech cultural tradition known as "tramping". Dressed as imagined backwoods explorers, Czech tramps vandr into nearby wilderness, set up camp, and sleep in the open as a means of building and celebrating friendship. We want to explore this tradition as it relates to our East Van Park. Come as your fantasy rough country explorer, bring potluck items to share and old clothes for crafting and swapping. We will screen a film at dusk. The truly hearty can come with sleeping gear, and together we will make Pandora Park our campsite for the night.
